“Life Truths”

Attention parents or those wanting to be parents. A new Sunday School class study called "Life Truths" will begin on September 5th. "Life Truths" is a practical and modern study designed for parents by parents and focuses on relating current parenting issues with solid biblical-based principles, because God's Word makes us better parents. The class will start on Sept. 5th at 11:00 am in room 407

Ladies’ Coffee Break

The Ladies’ Coffee Break Bible Study 2010-2011 will soon begin digging deep into God’s Word with Beth Moore’s study, Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy!  ALL ladies are warmly welcomed and encouraged to take part.  There will be a kick-off luncheon on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH @ 11 A.M. in room 406.  Please come and invite friends.  Bible Study will be on THURSDAYS this year in room 406 on the first floor of the education wing.  We will begin with fellowship from 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. and the study will begin at 10:30 a.m.  For more information, please call Edythe Brown at 964-2742 or 701-4372.

GOOD SAMARITAN FOOD PANTRY
Special Christmas Gift for Families 2010

This year the Good Samaritan Food Pantry is requesting NEW blankets, throws, or quilts to distribute to each family as a special Christmas Gift.  This will replace the toiletry items which are now being distributed all year.

If you would like to donate a new blanket, throw or quilt, please fill out the form below and give to one of the ushers during the offering. Please bring them to the church by November 1st.  If you have questions, contact Billie Anne Trent @ 963-9147.

RADA Order

The WMU is taking orders for RADA products.  If you would like to purchase any of the items and look at a book, please see Carol Cole or Shirley Herndon.  The order will be sent in by September 15th.  This is the only order we will place before Christmas.


“Evangelism Emphasis 2010” event will be held on Thursday, September 16th @ Swords Creek Baptist Church, beginning at 7:00 P M.  Special Music and a GPS presentation (God’s Plan for Sharing).  Rev. Wayne Faison, from Richmond will present an inspiring message.

Senior’s Celebrators Conference
The conference is October 18th – 21st and the amount due by August 29th per person is $150.  Please make checks payable to Community Heights Church with a memo – Senior Conference.  See Ollena Sisk if you have questions.


BAPTISMAL SERVICE ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2010


CHC will be offering Financial Peace University beginning September 14th @ 7:00 p.m.  Class will be offered on Tuesday for 13 consecutive weeks.  The class is designed to teach you and your family how to get out of debt and manage your finances thru Biblical principles and will be taught by Barry Elswick.  If you are interested, please fill out your name and phone number and place the form in the offering plate.

Walk Books are in.  They are located on the table in the foyer.
